The founders of Vital Casting have over 100 credits on reality and unscripted programming, having worked with numerous major networks and production companies over the past 20 years. With vast experience in all genres of unscripted casting and show development, they have found personalities, creatives, hosts, experts and more on shows that span from docudramas to competition shows. Their combined additional career experience includes extensive work in the non-profit world, journalism, events, and music. Vital Casting is run with an eye to inclusion, equity, and growing diversity in media representation.

Alissa Haight Carlton

Alissa has been an unscripted casting director for almost two decades leading large teams in finding successful casts. She is twice Emmy nominated for her work leading the casting team for Project Runway. In addition to her casting work, Alissa spent the last decade co-founding and building a large craft focused non-profit, called The Modern Quilt Guild, that now has over 17,000 members. Jen DeMartino

Jen is a two-time Emmy-nominated unscripted casting director. She began casting 18 years ago when she moved from New York to Los Angeles and has had the pleasure of developing many projects with multiple production companies.
